We spent most of our day in Mrs. Ravencraft's room because of rainy weather. In her room, you observed our lab for the day. The lab was watching water move through it's different states. Please explain the states the water went through and explain what caused the water to change states.

Well we heated the solid ice to a liquid, then we heated the liquid to a gas ,then we trapped the gas into a plastic bag. Then some of the gas turned into a liquid.

My favorite part was when she used a heater and the water turned into a gas.

The water changed from a solid to a liquid to a gas. The way the solid changed to a liquid was that some heat was added to the ice cubes and they melted. How the liquid was changed to a gas was that more heat was added to the liquid and it evaporated into a bag.

Solid, liquid and gas were the 3 states it turned into.

We saw water in different states. First, the water turned into ice when it froze. Then we heated it up and it turned into a liquid. Lastly, we heated the liquid water and it turned into a gas.

The state of water I liked best was the solid ice.

First the water was frozen into ice. Then heat was added to the ice and melted it back into water. More heat was added and the water turned into steam. Then the steam turned back into water.

first it was a liquid but it turn into air the air went into a bag in then when she let go it turn into liquid.

1. At first it started as ice [Solid].2. When we added heat to it, it turned into water [liquid] .3. Then we put it in a heater and it was steam [a gas].4. When we turned the heater off it was water [liquid] again. 5. When we put the water [liquid] in the freezer it will be ice [Solid] again.

Mrs. Fontaine first put the solid ice in a little pan on a little oven. The pan got hot and the ice melted and turned into a liquid, then the liquid got poured into a steamer which got really hot. Then she put a baggie over the top of the steamer and the liquid started to turn into a gas. The gas was in the baggie and when she took it off the gas turned back into a liquid. The cool air made the gas turn back into a liquid. This was cool, I didn't think that a gas could turn back into a liquid.

Mason you are correct 3 different states of matter .a solid liquid and gas .

I thought the whole experiment was pretty cool. I liked it when the gas turned back into a liquid.

Mrs. Fontaine got two cups of ice and she put it in a round steamer. She heated it up and we watched it melt into a liquid called water. Then we heated up the water and it turned into steam.

The states the water went through were first it was a solid. The solid was an ice cube. We added heat to it and it turned into a liquid . Then she put it into a tank and put a plastic bag on the lid and we saw gas. The heat changed it in 3 ways.

First Mrs. Fontaine took some solid ice and melted it in a portable oven. Then she warmed up the oven and the ice melted. After that she put a funnel on a plastic bag and inside the funnel was a gas. It looked like a pillow. It started have some steam coming out. When she took it off the gas was all gone. And then when she took it off for a couple of minutes there was liquid.

It did look like a pillow. My favorite part was when she took the bag off and steam was everywhere.

The water started as a solid, ice. Then we added heat, the ice melted and turned into a liquid, then we added more heat, and it turned into a gas. Then we put it in a bag and it cooled down, and it turned into a liquid.

The ice changed to a liquid to a gas. The waters temperature changed because of the heat.

The states of water are solid, liquid and gas. The heat changed ice to a liquid and then water was put into the steamer and it turned to a gas. Then it turned back into a liquid.

First it was a liquid then Mrs. Fontaine put it on a portable cooker. It turned into a liquid. Then she put it in a steamer it turned into a gas the gas filled the bag. Then she took the bag off and there was a little bit of water in the bag.

The ice cubes melted into water and the water heated into gas and the gas cooled and turned into water again. Comments are closed.
