Name them and give an example of each.
What is a simple machine and why do we use them? How many are there?
Name them and give an example of each.

A simple machine is something that makes work easier. There are six simple machines. They are pulleys, levers, wheel and axle, screws and a ramp. A pulley is a rope that goes through a little wheel. A lever is something that pulls another thing up. An example of a wheel and axel is a door knob. Screws help hold things together. A ramp is like a skateboard ramp that goes higher on one end.

There are 6 simple machines and their names are pulley, lever, wedge, wheel and axle, inclined plane and the screw. An example of a pulley is a well. An example of a lever is a seesaw. An example of a wedge is a doorstopper. An example of an inclined plane is a ramp. An example of a wheel and axle is a wheelchair or a bike. An example of a screw is a screw.

A simple machine is used to make work easier. There are six simple machines; one simple machine is a wheel and axle, an example is a bike. An inclined plane example is a ramp. A screw example is a twisty slide. A pulley example is a well. A lever is a seesaw. A wedge is doorstopper. We use a wheel and axle to make getting in and out of doors easier. We use inclined plane to make it easier to do work lifting heavy things. A screw holds things together. A pulley lifts things up high. We use levers to push one side down and then they other side goes up. A wedge could be used to stop doors.

We use simple machines to help us do things. There are six simple machines. A pulley is used on a sailboat to help lift the sail. An incline plane is a tilted surface that makes it easier to move objects. A wheel and axle is used on a bike to help us move. A screw helps hold things in place. A lever helps us move things quicker. A type of wedge is a doorstop.

There are 6 simple machines. One simple machine is inclined plane ,an inclined plane is like a slide that goes to one place to another. A pulley, is a simple machine that has ropes on each side that you pull one rope down and the thing attached to the pulley rises, pull it up and the thing will go down. A wheel and axle, are like the wheel on your bike and the axle attached to the wheel. A screw, is a thing that is used for construction and a inclined plane is wrapped around it. A lever, is a thing that holds something on top of something, like a seesaw. A wedge, a thing that is sharp, or has two inclined planes, or is sharp.

A simple machine is something that only uses one moving part or some of them have no moving parts. There are 6, a pulley a wheel and axle, a wedge, a inclined plane, a lever and a screw. A wishing well has a pulley at the top the rope fits in a hole and when you pull the rope to drag something up or down on it helps it to go which ever way you pull. A wheel and axle on a bike is connected to the chain so when you pedel is turn round and round. A wedge so something you use to keep the door open. A slide is a inclined plane it helps move things from one level to another level. A seesaw has a lever there is a point on the top that keeps it in place. We use screws to hold things together.

I thought a simple machine was a ramp instead of a wedge, but a ramp is an example of a wedge.

A simple machine is something we use. We use them because they make it easier to work. There are six of them. They are a pulley, lever, inclined plane, wheel and axel, screw, and wedge. A lever is like a pole. A pulley is a rope around something. Inclined plane is like a slide. A wedge is like a knife. A screw is like an inclined plane around a pole. A wheel and axel is like a wheel on a bicycle.

It is something that has a wheel and Axel like a clothesline. If it has a ramp you can go up and down to make it easier. It is something that has wheels like a car. A flag is like on a pulley to go up and down at night time. A wedge has an edge and it is sharp.

You can also use the wheel and Axel in a well. A screw is apiece of metal and there is a piece of metal wrapped aroind

There are six simple machines. Wheel and axle, wedge, screw, incline plane, pulley, and a lever. A clothing has a pulley, wheel and axle can be found on bikes, scissors have two levers, a knife a is a wedge with a sharp side, a slide is an incline plane and a screw Ivan be a light bulb because you have to screw and unscrew it in.

Simple machines are used to help us work easier. There are 6 simple machines. 1. Lever 2. Wheel and Axel 3. Wedge 4. Pulley 5. Inclined plan 6. don't remember. Levers help us get up and down easier. Wheel and axle help us drive. A wedge can keep a door open. A pulley can pull things up or down. A inclined plan helps us go one level to another level.
